To say this was our favorite hotel stay ever would be an understatement. The Burj al Arab was simply amazing. Service on another level and very personalized. Everyone learns your name and what you like and they anticipate your needs. Our suite was a little dated but beautiful with a spiral staircase leading upstairs to the bedroom and bathroom. The hotel set up a bed in the living room for our Daughter and that worked out perfectly for us. Every suite includes a Butler and there is a personal concierge on every floor many hours during the day.
I had my shoes shined and laundry done while staying here but other than that did not request much from our Butler. He was always gracious and willing to help with anything.
We planned our trip to stay at the Burj and just enjoy the hotel for several days without taking day trips or sightseeing. We wanted to "milk" this experience as much as possible. This meant long breakfasts, relaxing at the pool, lunch at the pool and dinner at the restaurants. The service level at breakfast was unlike anything we have ever experienced. The well trained and professional staff seem to say only positive statements like - "yes of course" and "certainly I would be happy to get that for you". You ask and you will receive with no exceptions. While a glass of champagne will set you back around $50 they will serve it with class and always make sure that your glass is full. Coffee, Tea, Juice and other drinks never go empty and are always filled without you having to ask. The Breakfast Buffet is excellent plus you can order off a special menu which includes Truffle Eggs, Eggs Benedict and more.
