The Rundle Bar at the Fairmont Banff Springs is one of the most beautiful bars I have ever seen. The beauty is everywhere including outside. We enjoyed a window seat away from the main bar that had a stunning view. We were hungry so we ordered a few plates to share along with a nice glass of Canadian wine. Our server was very nice and professional so we were feeling great sitting and chatting. Then the food came and ruined everything. This was some of the worst food ever, and I mean ever. Totally disappointed and damn near called for the Chef to be fired. The Rundle Mini Wings were placed in front of me and the smell darn near killed me. I have never been served Wings that stink so bad. The smell made me not want to eat them. I tried them and would never order these again. The Oyster Mushroom Tempura was tasteless. Don't think they seasoned them at all and the Chimichurri Sauce did not complement the Mushrooms at all. The Crispy Chicken Rice Bowl was also lacked flavor and I thought was terrible. When the Chili Pork Dumplings came we thought these would have to be good. Nope...terrible seasoning and chewy. For the life of me I don't understand how they can serve food like this is such a nice place. Maybe the Chef has a totally different mix of seasonings because these flavors have never been tasted before by me or my Daughter.
