FOUR SEASONS RESORT DUBAI AT JUMEIRAH BEACH
I cannot lie. It was difficult and traumatic to leave the Burj Al Arab. The service was just incredible. Moving over to the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach was a bit of a downer and we all wished we could have stayed at the Burj. That said, the Four Seasons is an incredible resort with great service. Loved the staff and management who went the extra mile to make sure we were happy and enjoying our stay. Time and time again the staff impressed me by knowing my name and providing a very high level of service. Front Desk and Concierge was excellent and always came through when we had a question or request.
What we did not like was the food with Sea Fu being the exception. Food at Sea Fu is excellent and the service was Five Star! Really liked everything about this restaurant and the management. Jou Jon Brasserie for breakfast had what seemed like dozens of employees but it always seemed disorganized. Time and time again we asked for something like Ketchup and they forgot. I even had to walk up to the counter to check on my drink because it was forgotten too. Lunch at the Shai Salon was absolutely terrible. Caesar Salad was the worst ever and the Buffalo Cauliflower was soggy and limp. No crunch whatsoever. The Salmon was basic and nothing I would order again. Expensive for what you get. Lunch at the pool was also terrible. Calamari that was overcooked and like rubber. Salad with terrible dressing and tortilla chips with no salsa. I asked for Salsa and the gal told me I would have to order Nachos to get Salsa. I wanted to call a Manager and question this but my daughter talked me out of it. More bad food at Mercury where we paid like $600 per person for New Year's Eve dinner. Food was so bad that we barely ate any of it. Even the steak was uneatable so we left it. Great menu but terrible execution on flavors. Total disappointment. Got to a point that we made a point not to eat at the resort. Another exception though was I had some really good Lasagna with a nice bottle of wine in the lobby. I would stay here again because of the great staff. There are several restaurant options just across the parking lot that we could dine at next time too.
