Love most everything about the Grand Wailea. It is a spectacular resort with incredible pools, great spa and one of the most beautiful restaurants on the planet. The dislikes are the cost at over $1200 per night to start, $65 per day valet parking, $9.50 bottled water and less than

Five Star service for the price. When the housekeeping staff asked us if we needed anything, we said ice for the bucket would be nice. She replied "oh I don't carry ice" and left. Other than that it is one of my favorite resorts and a place that I love to hang out. Loved having a few hours in the spa enjoying the Hydrotherapy Garden where I did a cold plunge, steam and dry sauna, cold water showers, jacuzzi and salt water spa. Something I never do, but after getting used to it felt pretty damn good. Loved the signature restaurant Humuhumunukunukuapuaa which is one of the most beautiful restaurants on the planet. Sunsets here are not to be missed and the Aquarium Bar is beautiful. Food was just ok with a pretty bad Wedge Salad, terrible Lobster Bisque and ok $100 Steak. The Pizza at Olivine was one of the worst ever. Tasteless crust, sauce and toppings. Love the grounds here and it is a joy just to walk around the resort and take it all in. Beach is very nice with lots of water activities. Love the pool, Grotto Bar and Lazy River. Service at the Botelo Bar was so bad that I got up from the bar and went to a table because after sitting for a long time and not getting service from the two bartenders who were not interested in serving customers, I saw that the waitresses were serving faster. Bartenders had attitude that was not appreciated in what should be a five star resort. Waitress service was good up until we wanted the check. Waited and waited while the two waitresses talked at the cash register and looked at their phones. I had to get up and walk over to them to pay the bill. You never see this at a Five Star resort in Asia for half the price. Kind a crazy but with all the bad service and high prices, I still love this place?
