INDEPENDENCE OF THE SEAS
For a $20 cover charge you can dine at the Portofino Italian Restaurant on board the Independence of the Seas. You can order as many appetizers, main courses and desserts for $20 per person. Believe me this is a treat from the Main Dining Room or Buffet aboard ship. The atmosphere, service and food here is excellent. We were blown away with the Papperdelle with Mushrooms. This dish was filled with rich mushroom flavor and the Mascarpone creme sauce put it over the top. Could eat this dish everyday. In fact, we went back another night and ordered it again. The Beef Tenderloin was cooked to perfection and delicious. The Skewer of Seafood while good may have caused food poisoning as my wife was ill after eating it. May have been the scallops we think. Other than that this was a super delicious and enjoyable meal. Great service and one heck of a night at dinner.
