FENDU BOULANGERIE

FENDU BOULANGERIE
MANOA MARKETPLACE

We took a Sunday drive up into Manoa looking to try a Mexican restaurant that some people said were good.  I was out voted on the Mexican when we walked by a bakery/sandwich shop in Manoa Marketplace.  Fendu Boulangerie is a very small bakery that also serves sandwiches and pizza.  We tried the Basic Pizza with cheese and basil ($12).  I liked the thin crust and overall the pizza was good.  Pretty good size pie for $12.  Like most pizza joints in Hawaii, they use a lot of cheese.  We prefer less cheese on our pizza.  The Turkey/Ham Sandwich ($6.50) was fresh and topped with strips of bacon.  Kind of tasted liked a super BLT.  The bread looked like it would be too much but it was just right for the sandwich.
