HUNDREDS OF WINE GLASSES READY TO FILL |
HAWAII CONVENTION CENTER
Chopsticks and Wine is an annual fundraiser for the Japanese Chamber of Commerce. This year it was held at the Hawaii Convention Center and it sold out. At $100 per person this thing is expensive, but boy is it fun. You can sample dozens of different wines and food from some of Oahu's best restaurants. I didn't much care for most of the food but the wine was flowing and tasting wonderful. I enjoyed mostly reds and then capped off the night with some crisp champagne. There was a silent auction but I did not bid on anything. It was hard to carry a glass of wine, hold a plate of food and take a picture. Sorry they are so lousy.
