Finally hit the Platinum Level on Hawaiian Airlines which mean there are opportunities for First Class Upgrades when flying to the the Mainland.  I went online to check in and up popped a message asking if I would like to upgrade from Coach to First Class.  I did it using two coupons issued by Hawaiian Airlines to Platinum customers.  It took a call to the reservation center to use the coupons but everything worked out and I got the First Class seat.  The flight was comfortable and on time as most Hawaiian flights are.  Service was OK but not as good as other flights on Hawaiian.  The evening flight included dinner.  I went with the Mozzarella, Tomato, Watermelon and Beet Salad.  It was absolutely delicious.  The Grilled Marinated Portabello Mushroom with Lentils was also good.  Actually enjoyed the Lentils and Roasted Tomato.  Portabello Mushrooms were very filling and tasted great with the Balsamic Dressing.  The Chilled Ramen Salad did not go over well with my Wife and Daughter.  They also were a bit disappointed with the Maui Red Wine Braised Short Ribs.  Said it was a bit dry and tasteless.   Hey no complaints from me.  I loved the upgrade, food and flight.
