Cruising through the streets of Rome is awesome. You walk and walk and then find small or large Piazza's all over the city. Piazza Campo de' Fiori was a good one. Filled with entertainers, families, singles, lovers and surrounded by a half dozen restaurants overlooking the square. We picked Mercato for no reason. Just had some tables out front and a young crew of workers doing everything possible to get people to come in. Once seated we were not disappointed. The food was good and atmosphere was perfect. Enjoyed a cold beer and some pizza while my daughter went for some Lasagna. The wife kept it light with the Mozzarella and Prosciutto. It is amazing how you can eat pretty much the same thing every day in Rome. Pizza and Pasta. There is not much more to chose from. Every restaurant in the city seems to be Italian. No complaints from me. I liked it this way.
