Finally made the drive out to Mililani to check out the new Five Guys Burgers and Fries that opened in the Town Center of Mililani. I have been to several Five Guys on the mainland and always come to the conclusion that I prefer an In n' Out Burger over Five Guys. After this visit, I may never eat at Five Guys again. In my burger world, In n' Out is KING! We waited around 40 minutes to get our burgers which cost $10.39 each at Mililani. Half the time waiting in line and then half the time waiting for the food. Our number was 43 and they were calling numbers in the low twenties after we paid. Took forever but you can eat unlimited Salted Peanuts while standing in line. Don't worry about the shells, they go right on the floor. After a few bowls of Peanuts, we finally got our Burgers and Fries which are placed in a brown paper bag. The Fries are in a paper cup and they overflow a bunch into the bag with the aluminum foil covered Burgers. I ordered my Burger with "everything" less they mayo so it included Lettuce, Tomatoes, Grilled Onions, Grilled Mushrooms, Ketchup and Mustard. I added Jalapeños for some kick. This $10.39 Burger was big with two patties of beef. The Lettuce was chopped up in small pieces which I did not like. Also don't like that the onions are cut up into small pieces too. I like a nice slice of Onion and Lettuce leaves that cover the entire bun. One of our Burgers ordered with Lettuce did not have any Lettuce on it at all. There were only a few Jalapeños on the Burger and I really did not taste them. The Burger was kind of a mess and you could not taste the individual components like you can with an In n' Out Burger. Also surprised that there were two beef patties. I guess the Little Burger is a single pattie. The French Fries ($5.69) were crunchy and pretty tasty. You can order them with Spicy Cajun Seasoning on the Fries or on the side. I tried the seasoning on the side but found it did not really compliment the potatoes. All in all the burger was good but for $10.39, I would rather have 4 In n' Out Burgers.
