Really enjoyed our cruise aboard the Norwegian Jade. While this is an older ship without the glitz and huge atriums it was comfortable and the crew was great. Enjoyed a suite thanks to Vacationstogo.com who had an incredible low price plus our Daughter was free. The Vacationstogo.com 90 Day Ticker is amazing. You simply log in and are given a list of almost every cruise in the world who is booking trips 90 days before departure. Savings of up to 80% are common. Not kidding we would not cruise as much without this website. They have 7 day cruises for $500 - $600 at times. Amazing. Being in a suite helped with incredibly easy boarding process with private lounge and a concierge to walk us on board without any lines. We also had a Butler who provided light snacks for our room every day of the cruise. The Butler assisted with anything within the room and the Concierge assisted with anything outside the room like dinner reservations and shore excursions. Our Concierge was at every dinner to greet us, walked us off board during shore visits and kept great seats available for the shows. He also expedited our departure with personal assistance to customs. The entertainment was top notch with highly skilled dancers, singers and entertainers. Food in the Specialty Restaurants was amazing. As good or better than any cruise we have ever taken (click links below). Crew was also great with most of them remembering our names and meal/drink preferences. Really made us feel special and like VIP's.
Problem is that once you experience the service and perks of Haven or Suites it will be hard to go back to a regular room. The service is on another level and worth the upgrade. We actually had some good luck in the casino and basically paid for our suite upgrade with our winnings.
