While in Tampa several locals highly recommended we visit the Columbia Restaurant.  We did and I was very satisfied.  After a very long wait we were seated in one of the many rooms that seem to take up an entire city block.  The menu was huge so I asked our waiter to guide us through some recommended dishes.  Pretty much liked everything we tried here.  Loved the Chicken with Onion and Vinegar Sauce and the Empanadas were excellent.  I was so full by the time our main entrees came that I could barely eat a few bites of each.  Loved the food and service and really want to return to try more of the menu items.

After arriving in Tampa for a business conference, we stopped at the Waffle House off the freeway heading toward the Streamsong Resort.  Had a quick breakfast which for me consisted of a Cheesesteak Melt with Hash Browns ($8.20).  Did not really care for this dish but it was food after a long flight from Hawaii.  My friend had Biscuits and Gravy and liked it.

Really enjoyed the Stone Soup Company in Tampa.  Only complaint is that we could not come back and eat more items on the menu.  Menu is diverse and everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious.  We were here for a pre-dinner snack and went a little overboard.  Started with Fried Pickles ($7) served with a Chipotle Ketchup.  Nice Pickle flavor.  Ordered he Ybor Chili ($7) which was voted Best in Florida.  Not my favorite Chile but not bad either.  The Real Cuban Sandwich ($7.50) was voted Best in the USA so we just had to try it.  Thought it was quite delicious.
