I had some leftover Spicy Korean Pork from a Korean BBQ lunch.  Chopped up the Pork and heated it in a fry pan.  Created these Spicy Pork Korean Tacos which were fantastic!

SHRIMP TEMPURA TACOS

SHRIMP TEMPURA TACOS

Taco Tuesday with Shrimp Tempura Tacos.  This is one of the families favorite taco recipes and I am sharing it now.  Using frozen Shrimp Tempura from Coscto makes this a very simple and inexpensive recipe that will impress everyone who tries them.  Simply cook the Shrimp Tempura at 400 degrees for 7 minutes on each side.  Warm Flour or Corn Tortillas and assemble.  Layer shredded cabbage on the Tortilla, add the White Sauce (Mayonnaise, Plain Yogurt and Lime Juice), hot sauce and then place the Shrimp on top. Pour a little of the Tempura Sauce over the Shrimp.  Cover with Cheese, Pico de Gallo, Avocado and a little jalapeƱo for kick.  Simple, delicious and a taco that you will crave and make over and over again.  We never get tired of these and always roll our eyes with happiness when we eat them.  Try it and I guarantee you will like it!

COOK 7 MINUTES AT 400 DEGREES.  TURN OVER AND COOK ANOTHER 7 MINUTES

COAT TRAY WITH COOKING SPRAY AND PLACE IN OVEN
PICO DE GALLO, SHREDDED CABBAGE, CHEESE WHITE SAUCE, HOT SAUCE, JALAPENO AND TEMPURA SAUCE THAT COMES WITH THE SHRIMP
WHITE SAUCE - MAYO, PLAIN YOGURT AND LIME JUICE
ASSEMBLE WITH CABBAGE ON BOTTOM, WHITE SAUCE, HOT SAUCE, SHRIMP, CHEESE, PICO, AVOCADO AND JALAPENO

Another visit to Guieb Cafe and this time it was to try their famous Prime Rib which sells out daily.  My slice was a bit dry and may have been sitting awhile.  Not my favorite Prime Rib but not bad.
Really think I need to try it again as I think it was the time in the box that made this dry.  Nice slice though for $15.

Another delicious restaurant quality dinner at home.  Not so hard to do when you have incredible fresh fish available in Hawaii.  This Opah was firm and moist and the White Wine Cream Sauce and Papaya Salsa put this dinner over the top.  Loved it!

Hunkering down during the hurricane with some great Fried Rice.  This is the best Fried Rice recipe and I encourage you to try it soon!  Use whatever meats you have.  This batch contains Portuguese Sausage and Char Sui.  I forgot to add the Spam which bums me out.

Doing a major bathroom remodel at the casa and we had six contractors working all day.  Rather than let them waste time going to get lunch we made them Drew Burgers, Ribs and Corn on the Cobb.
They loved the lunch and were back on the job in just over 30 minutes.

I saw an Instagram post from Agostinos Pizza.  Funny because I have been craving pizza but do not like Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns or any other pizza joints in town.  I loved Mama Manoa pizza and miss it.  Wish we did not have to close it down.  Not being able to find good pizza in Honolulu, I have recently shipped pies in from New York and Atlanta.  Then I see this photo of a  Agostinos pizza just the way I like it with a thin and crispy crust.  Found that they were on Cooke Street near my Wife's office. Asked her to grab a pizza on her way home.  She went there and they politely told her there was a two hour wait for the pizzas due to backlog of orders.  Rather than leave empty handed, she placed an order and had her Sister pick it up two hours later.  She then met her Sister later that night to pick up the pizza.  This means we tried the pizza the next day and not fresh off the truck.  We re-heated the pizza in a pan and it tasted great.  Loved the crust and toppings but could not really taste the sauce.  Don't know if this is from eating a day after the pizza was cooked or if the sauce is just bland.  Need to try a pizza right out of the truck but right now this is one of my favorite pizzas in Honolulu and I am definitely going to find them and go back again.

Our house is a mess with construction and contractors are working day and night. My Wife was still able to pull off one of our favorite meals that we enjoyed outside on our lanai while hammers pounded.  The entire family loves this simple meal that I discovered over 30 years ago at a hotel in Waikiki.  I can remember going to the lobby for breakfast and ordering Salmon with Hollandaise Sauce which for a guy from California seemed weird.  But I loved it and learned to make it at home.  Then after getting married I made this for my Wife and she loved it.  Then we had Keli and she loved it.  Now the entire family enjoys this together quite often and there is never and I mean never anything left on the plate.

My gals picked The Boiling Crab for lunch so we tried it for the first time.  We were greeted at the door by a gal who asked us a few COVID-19 questions, took our temperature and then had us clean our hands with hand sanitizer.  We were seated and told that to scan the code on the napkin dispenser to view the menu on our phones.  We did that and ordered.  Went with the Combination with King Crab and an order for Chicken Wings.  Requested medium heat and The Whole Shabang Sauce which is a combination of three sauces.  Our food arrived in bags and we poured everything onto the table which was covered with a white paper just before we were seated.  With everything on the table we dug in and started getting dirty.  Actually put on plastic gloves so the juices would not penetrate our skin.  Gloves worked and I highly recommend them.  The Chicken Wings come dry so we soaked them in the sauce that was all over the table.  Made them taste much better.  Overall we thought this was just ok.  The sauce does not rock like say Hot and Juicy Crawfish in Las Vegas or Karai Crab in Honolulu.  My Wife said the meal was not satisfying and I would agree.
