Attending an event in Waikiki and when it finished, me and the Wife wanted to grab some pupus before going home. Walked by BLT Steak and saw that the lounge was pretty empty so we went in. Grabbed a great table in the lounge and instead of pupus we went for a complete meal. When the waitress brought out the Popovers we smiled with joy. These pillowy puffs are delicious. Love the char on the outside and fluffy airy goodness on the inside. Actually started with just a few poke dishes. The Lobster Poke came out looking amazing. A tower of ice with a Pineapple stuffed with a little bit of Lobster and a lot of Pineapple. The flavor of the Pineapple was overwhelming which meant you could not really taste the lobster flavor. The Ahi Poke also looked great and the portion was large for the two of us. The Ahi was fresh but there was nothing to enhance or bring out the flavor. Needed a light sauce we thought. The Spinach Salad also looked great but the dressing was what tasted like just plain vinegar. Vinegar was all you could taste. We did not eat much of the salad and the waitress asked me if we liked it. I told her that the dressing was terrible and she took the salad off our bill. What a shame because the salad had some nice ingredients. The Bone In Ribeye was delicious. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. This was an expensive pupu night but to be with my Wife and share this food and time was worth it.
