We hit the streets near Arizona State University in search of some Mexican food. Found Z'Tejas and were quite happy. While this isn't your normal Mexican food it was latin and had dishes with salsa. That is good enough for me. After a few cold beverages, we decided to eat family style and just order a bunch of appetizers. Started with the Tejas Trio ($9.95). Warm Tortilla Chips with Salsa Picante and Chile Con Queso. The Queso was delicious. Creamy and cheesy with just a hint of heat. Next came the Street Tacos ($10.95). These were four small tacos packed with flavor. I added the Green Salsa that accompanied the tacos and loved them. The Grilled Shrimp and Guacamole Tostada Bites ($10.50) were quite good and filling. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and went well with the Guacamole and Salsa. Also enjoyed the Seared Rare Sesame Ahi Tuna ($11.50). Nice pieces of raw Ahi Tuna slightly seared and topped with a Spicy Vinaigrette and Wasabi. No complaints about the food or service here. Both were good. Finished up this load of food and then attended the PAC12 Championship where Stanford put the beat down on Arizona State.
