DINNER AT HOME
One of the biggest things we miss while trying the Keto diet is pasta. I love cooking and eating pasta dishes. Did some research and found a low carb Penne Pasta that looked a bit like regular pasta except that it was a little more white in color. Served this up to the family with a Bolognese Sauce. Entire family did not like it. Pasta did not have the texture or flavor of regular pasta. Meat Sauce was delicious though. There are tradeoffs when going Keto. Rapid weight loss vs consuming delicious carbs. While I want some carbs back, I will wait as we are entering our third week on Keto and I am down 12 pounds. Want to keep going and get down at least another 10 pounds. Heck maybe 20 if the weight keeps coming off. I have adjusted to not having a glass of wine at night. At times I want one but mostly don't even think about it anymore. Just pound a bottle of water with lemon juice.
