Cannot say enough good things about The Rose Hotel in Pleasanton, California. The small 38 room European Style Hotel owned by John Madden is pretty much perfect. Its the small things that shine here for me. Chocolates, Licorice and Cookies in the lobby, fresh fruit and Granola Bars in the hallways and a nice breakfast in the morning. Now the hotel is not cheap but they really have taken a lot of care to make sure your stay is comfortable. The rooms and hotel were designed by someone who has traveled the world and knows that it is the little things that make a difference. I also loved the location in quiet downtown Pleasanton. Walking up and down Main Street in the morning or evening is very enjoyable. Highly recommend The Rose Hotel and would love to stay here again.
