As the Alabama vs Arkansas Football game winded down we left the stadium a bit early to roll into Buffalo Phil's which is literally a few steps from Bryant-Denny Stadium. The place was packed with Bama fans who were watching the end of the game and enjoying some cold beverages. Also seemed that everyone was eating here so after standing a bit we staked out a table and grabbed it as soon as the people sitting were finished with their meal. The place was loud and busy but our waitress seemed to put things into slow motion. She approached our table and introduced herself and then took our drink order. With chaos all around and a table with a few drunk patrons next to us, our waitress gave us 100% of her attention and made us feel like we were the only customers in the bar. Truly a professional and one of the best waitresses ever considering the environment. I saw the table next to us eating what looked like Cheese Dip with Chips so I asked the waitress what it was. She said it was Buffalo Chicken Dip and recommended we try it. Boy was I glad she did. The Buffalo Chicken Dip ($8.99) was fantastic. I mean really good fantastic. It was cheesy and filled with large pieces of shredded chicken. There was a nice Buffalo Wing Sauce flavor but it was not overpowering. The main ingredient I think was Cream Cheese. I literally could not stop eating this stuff. We ordered 10 pieces of Phil's Original Recipe Wings ($8.99). The Wings were nice and crispy and perfectly cooked. Ordered them "hot" and it really was the perfect heat for me. Great tasting Wings! The Fried Pickles ($7.99) were delicious but they were large cuts. I prefer the smaller slices of Fried Pickles but no complaints. Tasted great. This was really a good college football bar experience and our waitress went beyond the call of duty making sure we got our food quickly and always had a cold beer. Wish I could remember her name because she deserves some Aloha.
