KAUAI BEACH SHACK BBQ

Taking my Daughter and two of her friends to Kauai for the weekend was a pure joy. We flew on Hawaiian Airlines for the long 22 minute flight to my favorite of all the Hawaiian Islands. Kauai is truly a paradise and it is totally different than Oahu, Maui or the Big Island. Once in Lihue, we picked up our rental car amidst dozens of chickens in the Avis parking lot. Then it was straight to Foodland In Kapaa where we picked up Steak, Sushi, Sashimi, Fresh Fish, Shrimp, Teriyaki Beef, King Crab, Vegetables, Corn on the Cob and of course some Vino for me. With bags of groceries in our hands, we headed over to our little Kauai Beach Shack and headed out to the pool to BBQ. The weather was perfect so the girls jumped in the pool while I prepped the food and got the BBQ going. The BBQ is literally just a few yards from the crashing waves and the pool is just steps away. Not a bad place to be on a Friday evening. I poured myself a glass of Chardonnay and began grilling. As the sun began to set we sat outside on the benches and dined on a feast that was loved by all.

This place has the most perfect environment, great food, tasty wings, lots of good beer, but best of all - probably the best wait staff in all of country. Visited the venues in Chicago last month again, had another great time.
