Loved Parkers' Lighthouse in Long Beach. I mean loved it. Loved the food, service, atmosphere and pricing and I really cannot say that about too many restaurants. Maybe it was the bubbly and family that helped make this night special but the food and service also shined. Everything was excellent. We were greeted with smiles and then taken through the bar and main dining room to an outdoor patio that overlooks the ocean and Queen Mary. Turns out the upstairs here is a Steak House and bottom serves Steak, Seafood and Sushi. Our table was set back at the end of the restaurant which made it like our own private oasis. The waiter who spent some time living in Hawaii was very friendly and really made the night enjoyable. Great guy and service. We started with the Parkers Sampler ($28) and I would order this again and again. The Lobster and Shrimp Taquitos on the plate were amazing. Such clean and delicious flavor. Highly recommend these as an appetizer. The Crab Cake was also delicious. On second thought if I had to do this again, I would order the Lobster and Crab Taquitos as my appetizer. The Steamed Clams ($12) is a bargain. The half portion was huge and enough for our table. Great flavor and the clams were large and meaty. Loved them! My Brother loved the Garlic Cheese Bread ($8) and probably put down three orders of this by himself. My Sister loved her Atlantic Salmon ($30) which was served on a bed of some of the most delicious Rice I have ever tasted. I would come back again just for this Rice that is filled with Roasted Corn and Vegetables. Yummy!!! We picked Parker's Lighthouse because it was my Mom's 86th Birthday and she wanted Lobster. The 11oz Lobster Tail ($52) did not disappoint her. This was a huge and perfectly cooked lobster that was served with vegetables. She had wanted a Baked Potato but they said they did not have them on the menu. Kinda odd we thought with a Steak House upstairs. I went for the Surf and Turf ($52) which included a 7oz Steak and Lobster Tail. My goodness this was delicious and a bargain for the price. A meal like this in Hawaii could run over $100 and here it was $50. My Daughter ordered the Bento Box Sushi ($22) and absolutely loved it. We ended the meal with a huge slice of Chocolate Cake that was the bomb. Loved the frosting! This was a great evening and meal for many reasons. The main being family as we do not get together that often. Loved spending this time with Mom, Brother and Sister as well as my Wife and Daughter. Truly a memorable moment in time. Parkers' Lighthouse was the perfect place for us and I totally enjoyed it.
So blessed and thankful for this life and my family.
