I was amazed when I saw Porto's for the first time. A huge parking lot with people backed up and waiting in the isles for a stall. Once you find parking, there is a huge line just to get into a bakery. Yes a f'kn bakery. As you are ushered in limited numbers they tell you to go to the left or right and then you get in line again. Hundreds of people standing in line for pastries? I was blown away. Most people seem to know what they want and the menu looks pretty sparse as did the display cases. Yet everyone leaves with bags and boxes of these famous treats. My Wife is in love with the Cheese Rolls while others swear by the Potato Rolls. I took a small bite of the Cheese Roll and immediately found out why she bought four boxes of them. They are delicious. I applaud this business for creating such a craze for their products.
