The Kahala Hotel in Hawaii is one of my favorite places on earth so I thought we would try the Kahala Hotel in Japan. The two properties are completely different and really cannot be compared with each other. When you enter the hotel you need to take an elevator up to the lobby level where you are checked in at a table. The rooms are spacious as is the bathroom. The amenities include everything you need for an overnight stay. Toothbrush, toothpaste and even a razor and shaving cream to name a few. Cannot explain the look and feel here. Kind of modern chic maybe? My Daughter and her friend loved the look and everything about the Kahala Japan. I however am more old school and was not too impressed. Service was good all but once. I was entering the pool area one morning and a gentlemen stopped me and escorted me to the elevator where he pushed the button to the lobby. He didn't say why and I was very upset. Told him I was going to the pool and he just had a blank stare. My anger was dissolved by the Bell staff who accommodated our request to store our luggage for the day. They were friendly, professional and offered us water and called a cab.
