I had visited Golden, Colorado years ago and thought it was a cool and cute little town that takes you back in time. Had the opportunity to take my Wife here during a business trip and once again enjoyed walking around the town. We ate at the Bridgewater Grill inside The Golden Hotel. A charming little spot set along a beautiful river that runs through the town and Coor's Brewery. With a Ford Model T in the lobby and an old time ambiance, this is a great place to enjoy lunch and then take a walk along the river. We loved the walk and only liked the food. I started with Herman Joseph's Private Reserve Beer that you can only buy in Colorado. This fresh, light and refreshing beer was delicious. The beer really does taste better here. The Smoked Trout Dip sounded delicious but really lacked the Smoked Trout flavor. Was mostly a bowl of mayonnaise. Disappointing. The house made Carnitas Tacos were good. Rosa's Award Winning Pork Green Chili was just ok. After our meal we walked out back to a beautiful setting that really made us feel like we were in Colorado.
