Don't know why but I just love Sam's Grill & Seafood in San Francisco. I just feel comfortable here and love the history of the place. Food and service always good so you know I will be back again. On this visit the Fresh Oysters and Clams shined. Octopus was solid and the Clam Chowder hit home. Not too many potatoes which I like. The Petrale Sole was a disappointment as you could not taste any of the Crab or Shrimp. Flavor of the fish was good and I ate everything. Not impressed with the Apple Pie.
