IN N' OUT BURGER - SAN FRANCISCO
We had about a 12 hour layover in San Francisco before catching another flight to Canada.
The only thing my gals wanted for dinner was In N' Out Burger. Thankfully, they have one just minutes from the San Francisco Airport. We grabbed an Uber and were in burger heaven once again.

Loved staying at the Grand Hyatt at SFO. This is a great place to stay if you have a short time between flights or don't need to be in the city. We grabbed our luggage and jumped on the Air Train and were at the hotel in just minutes. So convenient. Perfect because we had an early morning flight the next day. Front Desk was friendly and the lobby was beautiful. Nice bar in the lobby that got pretty busy at night. Room was clean and a good size for two.  |

HAWAIIAN AIRLINES - HONOLULU TO SAN FRANCISCO
I am a die hard Hawaiian Airlines Mileage Member and fly them more than any other Island by far. While I love the airline, I have often not been a fan of the food or service. The service never seems to be at the level of Asian or International carriers. In fact, many times it is terrible with Flight Attendants talking in the galley and on their phones most of the flight. Basic low level service is now expected. THIS ALL CHANGED WITH "MATTY". A Flight Attendant who gets it and provides service beyond expectations. From the time we boarded tis flight, Matty was on fire. Filling drinks and engaging passengers in conversation. During the flight he continued to make sure your drinks were full and that you were happy. This is unheard of on Hawaiian where I often go the entire flight without anyone filling a drink or providing water. Matty was on it the entire flight. This guy should be cloned and used for training all Hawaiian Flight Attendants. Matty showed what Hawaiian Airlines could be if they had more people like him.

LE'AHI MARKET - HONOLULU AIRPORT
Crazy that one of my favorite dishes in Hawaii is served at the airport. The Mahi Mahi Bowl at Le'ahi Market is fantastic. I try to eat this everytime we fly to the mainland if time permits.
My Wife likes the Caesar Salad with Chicken.

LOW CARB BOWL WEEK
After a lot of travel and eating like crazy, I had to take a step back and reset the body clock. Started with a 72 hour fast and then did five days of just eating one bowl a day. I hit Jersey Mikes the most ordering online and then just walking in and picking up to avoid the line. My faves are the Philly Cheese Steak and Italian in a Bowl with lots of lettuce.
Worked as I dropped some pounds. Will be doing this again soon.

Finally had a decent meal on Hawaiian Airlines. Shocking but true. The Korean Fried Rice was delicious.

I liked Sotto Mare in San Francisco, but my gals were very disappointed in the food. The Linguine Pomodoro was a little mushy and not al dente. I agreed on this but liked the flavor. The Crab Cioppino was pretty good. Calamari lacked flavor and should have had some type of dipping sauce. Clam Chowder was just ok. Service given the fact that the place is jam packed was quite good. I would go back here again to try some other dishes.
