My Daughter had a sleepover in Waikiki with four of her girlfriends and was celebrating a special occasion.  She asked me to pick up sandwiches for her gang of surf gals and bring them to the condo.  Being a good Daddy, I did as i was told and stopped at Tucker & Bevvy on Kapahulu Avenue.  Parking is tough here.  In fact there isn't any.  My Wife dropped me off in front and then she went across the street and waited in the Honolulu Zoo parking lot.  I placed the order - waited for my sandwiches and then texted her to pick me up in front when the sandwiches were ready.  She was there within a minute.  This is a good solution to the no parking situation if you have two people in the car.  Otherwise this is pretty much a walk up and take out place designed for the beach crowd.

The great thing about Tucker & Bevvy is its location.  Directly across from Waikiki Beach, the Zoo and Kapiolani Park.  You can walk to the Aquarium, Kaimana Beach and The War Memorial and there are dozens of places along the way to sit and enjoy your sandwich.  Me and the girls tried the Chicken Pesto ($8.50), Turkey Brie ($8.50) and Ham and Cheese ($8.50) Panini's.  These sandwiches were good but not great.  When I am at the beach I want a fresh sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion and maybe a nice vinaigrette.  These are pressed warm sandwiches with a crunch.  If you are a Panini lover than you will probably like these sandwiches.  I however would prefer a nice Italian Sub.
