Macau and the MGM Grand were not what I expected.  The hotel and rooms are nice but with the exception of the VIP Lobby staff the rest of the employees do not seem to have been trained on customer service.  There were a few exceptions but overall not impressed.  Loved the service in the VIP Lobby where the Concierge named Randall did an excellent job arranging transportation and providing information.  The VIP staff was also exceptional.  Rooms are great with refreshing showers.  The lobby is beautiful especially at night.  The main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner is Rossio where you can enjoy the buffet or order ala cart.  We tried the breakfast and lunch buffets and they both pretty much sucked and the service was not good.  Hard to believe this is a five star hotel with employees who seem to have never been trained on customer service.  I did enjoy having a cocktail overlooking the large aquarium in the evening.  The colors were stunning.  The hotel and most hotels in Macau do not have bars or waitresses inside the casino area.  It is straight gambling with people drinking tea.  The vibe in the casino is nothing like Las Vegas.  Totally different look and vibe that I did not feel comfortable in.  We went across the bridge to Coti and found that this is the place to stay in Macau.  More casinos and places to party.
