Enjoyed our stay at the American Colony Hotel. Service was ok but not what you would expect from a Five Star property. Liked the champagne welcome at check-in. We asked he concierge to assist with a dinner reservation and returned in the evening to find out he had forgotten or just did not do it. I raised my concern to the Front Desk Manager and he went out of his way to find a reservation at another restaurant. In fact, he called his Brother who manages a restaurant and set up a reservation for dinner. Breakfast was included with our room each morning which was nice. Enjoyed going down every morning and enjoying a cup of coffee and some fruit. Dinner at the hotel was not that good. None of us seemed to really enjoy the food. After one dinner we did not eat at the hotel again. We were so busy each day touring that we really did not spend much time in the hotel. Wish we could have lounged around more. Overall I would say our experience was good at the American Colony Hotel. The hotel has good security and is gated.
