A TASTE OF NEW ORLEANS

We made reservations for noon at A Taste of New Orleans with great expectations and hope for some good food with a Cajun kick.  Oh my how we were disappointed.  While the staff was friendly, it took almost forty minutes of waiting before a single dish hit our table.  We did get a basket of bread with butter and jam but did not understand what that had to do with New Orleans food.  I was craving Jambalaya, Crawfish Étouffée and Seafood Gumbo so we placed the order.  We were told that they were out of Crawfish Étouffée which was surprising because it was noon.  I asked how long before more was ready and they said 2-3 hours.  I had ordered Crawfish Boudin over 30 minutes ago and it finally showed up looking pretty dry.  It was pretty tasteless and there was not a hint of Crawfish.  We would not have eaten it but we were hungry.  My Wife stopped after one slice and I finished the plate after soaking the Boudin in Hot Sauce.  Would never order again.  A Side Salad arrived and it was fresh, chilled and good. The Seafood Gumbo arrived at $19.99 per bowl.  It as not hot and had a watery consistency.  I have never had Seafood Gumbo like this.  While there was a good bit of Shrimp, Scallops and Oysters we could not taste any Crawfish.  So get this, we paid $40 for two bowls of shitty Gumbo.  Would not order this again.  The Jambalaya at $19.99 was a bowl of unseasoned rice with a few pieces of dried out Sausage.  Absolutely a joke and uneatable.  We left it all.  The Jambalaya is served with French Fries which I have never seen in New Orleans.  Just to try it I ordered the Roast Beef Po Boy at $16.99.  It actually tasted ok but c'mon $17?  This was a terrible meal and we left disappointed and asking how this place can serve A Taste of New Orleans that taste like this.  Never going back.  I hate being honest but I gotta call em like
 I eat em.
