I love Big Kahuna's Pizza even though it is not a thin crust New York Style Pizza.  Their Specialty Pizzas pack tons of flavor and are a nice change from regular Pizza.  On this visit we had the Mexican Pizza which is one of my favorites.  Love the Chorizo, Black Beans and Jalapeños.  Probably my favorite of the three shown here.  Next up is the Sumo which I also love.  The sauce on this pizza is delicious and for me makes the Pizza along with all of the great toppings.  The Kanaka is also good but I ate the other two first and liked them more.

Pro Tip:  Make sure you get your parking ticket validated before leaving the store.  You will need it to get out of the parking lot.

Kanaka Pizza 12" Regular (8 Slices)

Oven roasted shredded kalua pork on our sweet and tangy Hawaiian BBQ sauce topped with green onions

Mexican Pizza 12" Regular (8 Slices)

Applewood smoked bacon, chorizo, black beans, and jalapeños

Not too impressed with this dinner at Hoakalei.  The Prime Rib was dry on the outside but had pretty good flavor once you got to the middle.  The Misoyaki Butterfish was also dry.  Service was great though with our waitress doing a great job.  Just read that they have the old Chef who was really good coming back this week.  Will have to return soon to check it out.

A Truffle, Caviar, Foie Gras and Pasta dinner like not other.  I love Margotto and this dinner to celebrate my Daughters return to Hawaii was amazing.  We got to meet Chef Shiori who arrived from Japan to take over for Chef Yohei who is returning to Japan.  She is a bubbly, little Chef with a huge smile and personality.  This was a dinner worthy of "last meal" status. Couple the incredible food with the perfect wine selections from Lee and this is heaven.  Everything was delicious with Chef Yohei's Bolognese once again blowing us away.  Could eat that dish every single day.  The Cheesy Potatoes with Truffle and Foie Gras is pure heaven and something that you savor every single bite.  My Wife loves the Cacio Pepe as do I.  Just wish it had even more pepper.

Back to Robata Jinya and another incredible dinner.  We went for the Jinya 6 Course Tasting Menu and it was fantastic.  Every dish was good and it was definitely worth the money.  One of the best Tasting Menus we have ever had for the money.  From start to finish this meal delivered on presentation and flavor. It was the perfect amount of food and ending with the Sushi was perfect.  Absolutely loved this and guarantee to be back real soon!
