Enjoyed an excellent dinner at Ristorante La Carbonara in Piazza de' Fiori. The evening was superb with warm weather and a a pastel sky. We asked if they had fresh fish and the waiter led us to the inside of the restaurant where we were able to select our fish from a display window. We asked them to grill the fish and they did it promptly and plated it for us with potatoes and vegetables. The Penne ala Carbonara was excellent here as was the Oxtail with Tomato Sauce. Oxtail was moist and full of flavor. Fell off the bone and we all loved it. Tried the Fried Zucchini Flowers and thought they were good. We asked for a "fresh" appetizer and the waiter recommended fresh mushrooms that were not on the menu. The mushrooms were fantastic. This was a really good dinner with ok service and a great view of the Piazza. Would return here again in a heartbeat when back in Roma!
