I did not wake up on Kauai thinking that I would take a three hour hike but my Daughter was gung ho and I did not want to let her down. This old and out of shape body took the Canyon Trail hike to Waipo'o Falls. While the water fall was a bit small with blackish water, I did enjoy the views once you got through the forest. The first 45 minutes of this hike is up and down hills with little to see, but when you get to the canyon rim the view is spectacular. You are literally soaring above the canyon with the helicopter tours. Truly amazing and worth the hike.
