I was surprised that the former Duck Yun Chinese Restaurant in Aina Haina Shopping Center had changed hands. We liked Duck Yun and had no idea that they had gone out of business. We entered Aina Haina Chop Suey and it looked and felt like Duck Yuen. Pretty much everything is the same. We tried the Hot and Sour Soup ($10.50). This was a huge bowl of soup filled with nice pieces of chicken. I liked the flavor and texture of the soup but my wife said it was too salty. The Mixed Vegetable Chop Suey ($10) was simple fresh vegetables lightly stir fried. Vegetables were crisp and delicious. The Sweet and Sour Pork ($10.50) was also really good. Liked the fresh carrot, onion and bell pepper. The pork was fresh and not dry. Much lighter and tastier than most other Sweet and Sour Pork dishes. There is so much on the menu here that it would take months to put a dent in it. I welcome the challenge and will probably hit this place again and again when in the mood for Chinese.
