I don't like to hang out in bars, eat in bars, watch sports in bars or sit and drink at bars. Just not my thing until I ventured into the Drum and Quill at Pinehurst. From the moment I entered this place it felt comfortable and I liked it so much that I visited here three times in a week. That is probably a record for me in the past twenty years with bars. Whats good here is everything. The staff is amazing, food is great and the atmosphere is warm. Cannot say enough good about the staff. Incredible personalities that really care about their customers. Heck even the busboy came out of the kitchen and thanked us for our business. Cook came out and chatted and the bartenders/waitresses did an amazing job taking care of us every time we visited. The food also shines here. The veteran cook is talented and his food is packed with great flavors. The House Made Clam Chowder was delicious as was the Pimento Cheese Burger. Loved their Tacos too on Taco Tuesday. Cannot believe you can get better Tacos in North Carolina than you can get in Hawaii. Really enjoyed the Drum and Quill and wanted to go back one more time before I left Pinehurst but did not have time.
This is a great spot to visit after a round of golf at Pinehurst. The staff got to know us a bit and when we came back another night, they had drawn the Hawaii "H" on the Special Board. This was cool!
