HOTEL VALENCIA SANTANA ROW
355 SANTANA ROW
SAN JOSE, CA 95128

What I will remember most about Hotel Valencia Santana Row is the smell of marijuana in the hallway on Friday and Saturday night and the loud partying, screaming, laughing and chatter from the central courtyard/Oveja Negra restaurant. Made it a bit hard to sleep when your room is facing the courtyard. Then there is the VBar which also goes off pretty loud on weekends. This place is happening and the place to party on weekends it appears. While our room was large, the bathroom was tiny and dimly lit. The beds were a bit small and I requested a rollaway bed for our daughter. The front desk said this was not possible due to fire regulations. They offered no other option or apology. Basically just said no. Maid Service was not done daily and in fact we had to request for towels most days. Housekeeping was a joke and I think they blame COVID for not making up the rooms on a daily basis. I think we got one cleaning during a week stay here. Despite all of this I loved the hotel because of its location directly on Santana Row. Santana Row is an awesome mostly pedestrian area filled with restaurants and shopping. It is the place to be in San Jose and we loved it. On weekends there are larger crowds and a consistent display of luxury cars strutting their stuff in front of the hotel. Ferrari's Lamborghinis, McLaren and even a few DeLorean's can all be seen and heard. Quite the place to be for people and car watching plus the restaurants are really good. I loved Santana Row and the cool, casual vibe with a young upscale crowd of Silicon Valley people. We walked the Row every single night and dined at almost all the restaurants. Hotel Valencia provided the perfect location for dining and nightlife plus it is close to Santa Clara Uninversity where our Daughter attends college. Believe it or not, we will be staying here again soon when we visit Santa Clara.
