GRILLED ONO WITH PAPAYA AND AVOCADO SALSA
DINNER AT HOME
So happy when I go into Foodland and find fresh fish available at a great price. Ono was $6.99 per pound so I was able to make a great tasting and healthy dinner for three for around ten bucks.
Ono is a close relative to King Mackerel. In Hawaiian, Ono means "sweet, very good to eat". The filets can be sautéed, broiled, grilled or fried. I like putting them on the outdoor grill or grill pan.
The fish is very mild so I would recommend seasoning well or adding a good sauce. I prepared a quick Salsa using fresh Papaya and Avocado.

DO NOT OVERCOOK ONO. IT CAN GET VERY DRY FAST |
