I ventured into Spices solo one evening while staying at the Peninsula Hotel in Manila. I was looking for a light meal and was feeling very relaxed. Decided to start with the hot and spicy Tom Yum Goong Soup. Oh my goodness. The heat and flavor blew me away. One of the best bowls of soup in my life. The spice level was perfect for me. It was hot and kept me coming back for more. Finished the entire bowl and was so happy. For my main course I went with the Tiger Prawns with Garlic Hollandaise Sauce. Wow.....so delicious. I absolutely loved the flavor of the Prawns and sauce. Really good but I could only finish two of the Prawns. They were so good that I wanted to offer them to the table next to me so they did not go to waste. I left Spices so happy and full that I came back the next night with my family and ordered the same exact dishes plus lots more to share.
