BERGISEL OLYMPIC SKI JUMP
INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA
Visiting Bergisel Ski Jump was something I will never forget. I was blown away by the size of the facility and vertical drop that the skiers perform on. Always love watching ski jumping but had no idea what the skiers actually go through to complete a jump. Just look at the photos below. Can you imagine racing down this ramp and then going airborne for what must seem like forever. One hell of a ride I bet. More respect now for ski jumpers than ever.

Hi! My family and I are traveling to Europe this year, and we'll be stopping in Innsbruck for a day. I was searching for things to see in Innsbruck and came across your blog. Your posts are great and I love your pictures of the ski jump and Olympic rings and torches platform!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how easy it was to get up to the platform with the rings and torches? We'll be on a tour as we stop in Innsbruck so I'm not sure we'll have time to get to the top of the ski jump, but as Olympic fans, I know we'll want to try to see the rings. If you have any other information that you could pass on, I'd love to hear about. Thanks!!
