MENGER-KRUG
BERLIN, GERMANY
Had a good lunch on the river near Museum Island in Berlin. Menger-Krug was packed with tourists and locals so we stopped in for a German Beer and some staple German food. We had sausage with sauerkraut and potatoes, Spargel (Asparagus) and Wiener Schnitzel. Loved the sausage, sauerkraut and potatoes. The Spargel was served with light vinegar dressing and was not as good as the Spargel we had in Hannover. The Wiener Schnitzel was pretty dry and tasteless. This one was veal. Just too much breading and no sauce. When I got into the thick part of the veal it was ok. Other than that it is like eating breading and grease. Area around this restaurant is beautiful.
