BRASSERIE DE METROPOLE
ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA
What a great surprise to be able to dine at the same restaurant where Ronald Reagan dined while in Russia. Brasserie de Metropole is an old school restaurant and bar that has served up some of the biggest names in Russian and American politics. We had a set menu here with our tour. Beet Soup which was actually pretty good and Chicken Kiev which tasted a little like Chicken Katsu. A little Apple Strudel for dessert and a cold beer. Service was very organized and fast with what looked like students bussing and serving. Food was ok but the cool ambiance and history of this place made me want to stay awhile and take it all in.
