How we ended up at La Ciccia was a pure accident. We were going to another restaurant and when we arrived they said we needed a reservation. Not wanting to wait we drove away not knowing where to go. My Wife went on Yelp and found a new restaurant called La Ciccia. The reviews were good and the food looked good in the photos. Yelp gave the location as being in Puck's Alley. We drove there but there was no restaurant. We called them and they were down the road a bit. We entered to find the place empty and were greeted by our waitress who was great throughout the meal. We started with the Bone Marrow. Very oily and not too much Marrow in the bone. We would not order this again. The Calamari Fritti surprised us when it came to the table. Instead of Calamari with tentacles it was more like Fish Sticks. One bite with the Tarter like sauce and we all were happy. Like little Calamari Steaks. Delicious. The Mushroom Crostini was loaded with Mushrooms and good. My Wife and Daughter liked the Shrimp Alla Spinach and said the light sauce was excellent. I went for the Veal Marsala. The Marsala Sauce and Pasta were good. Mushrooms a bit undercooked and there was just too much breading on the Veal. With the breading you could not taste the Veal and it was bland. I took all the breading off and ate the unseasoned Veal. The waitress noticed that I removed the breading and said that next time to tell them no breading and they would cook the dish without it. I thought that was nice to know. I would come back here again to try a few more menu items before writing it off. Have no idea why they call this a Brunch Bar. Did not see anything on the menu that reminded me of Brunch.
