We enjoy dining at Oahu Country Club and like the Chef and the food. The Shio Koji Salmon is a family favorite and a dish that I could eat every week. On this visit we started with Sashimi which is always fresh at the Club. We asked for it to be sliced thin and our request was granted. When Sashimi is this fresh and sliced thin it melts like butter in your mouth.
So delicious. The Okonomiyaki Brussels Sprouts is another favorite. Love the char and and balance of Japanese flavors. The Hiyayakko Cold Tofu missed the mark. Primarily because you could see the indentations from the container it was packed in on the Tofu. It looked like it was taken from the container and slapped on the plate. A huge mass of Tofu with basically no sauce or flavor. I went for the Kamameshi with Hamachi Kama and liked it. My Daughter had the Lamb Lollipops which came out looking perfectly cooked and delicious. The sauce was flavorful but the Lamb was a bit tough and chewy. Don't know if this was from preparation or just the meat. I have had Lamb at OCC before and it was perfect. Service was excellent with the staff taking really good care of our table.
